Non Election Related: Today in 1776

Occasionally some non-election related items appear here.

June 28 was a critical date in United States history.  In 1776, the Battle of Ft. Moultrie began.  At Pajamas Media I wrote about the improbable battle and the importance to American independence here.  On this hot and blistering June day, it's worth remembering those who made America possible.

Commenting here on your article about the 'Panthers of Color', with just this question. When government doesn't obey the Constitution, what's treason?

(Also, terrific history on Moultrie. The justice department forgets that people like that populate most of the rest of the country.)

Great article in the Washington Times on the Black Panther case. My only comment is the assistant attorney general, I believe, is named Tom Perrelli, and not Tom Perez. It is very inspiring to see that men of integrity still exist in our judicial system, God speed

EDITOR NOTE:  Perrelli is the ASSOCIATE Attorney General.  Perez is the ASSISTANT Attorney General.
