EXCLUSIVE: Senator Cornyn places hold on DAG nominee over Voting Section military voting record.

EXCLUSIVE: ElectionLawCenter.com can exclusively report from knowledgeable sources that Senator John Cornyn has blocked the nomination of Deputy Attorney General nominee James Cole, the number 2 man at the Justice Department, because of the performance of the Voting Section in protecting military voters and the implementation of the new MOVE Act.    Cornyn will not lift the hold until all of his questions and concerns in this letter are answered.

Cornyn's anger erupted after learning about comments made by a Voting Section official at a National Association of Secretary of State's convention regarding implementation of the new MOVE Act to protect military voters and an timorous attitude toward litigation against offending states.  Fox News broke news of Cornyn's letter to DOJ today.
