Texas Plaintiff's want the Court to delay redrawing of maps
In this brief, the assortment of plantiff's in the Texas redistricting litigation want to wait for the DC panel ruling on Section 5 before the Western District Court proceeding with new lines. The groups believe there is simply too much work to be done in the re-drawing of new lines to meet the end of month deadline to hold elections. The Attorney General of Texas wants the court to finish maps by the end of the month so the primary election may continue on the current already revised calendar. Prior to the Supreme Court ruling, whatever the liberal Hispanic and Black groups wanted, the court has provided on a silver platter. Let's see if that attitude has been adjusted.
